परीट
थोरला धोबी,मामुला,मोडवोन,कवड्या धोबी अशी नावे या पक्षाला आहेत. इंग्रजी नाव व्हाईट-ब्रेन्ड वाग्टेल आहे. तलाव,ओढे,पाणथळ जागा अशाठिकाणी हा पक्षी आढळतो. भक्ष्य खाताना शेपटी खालीवर करतो. एकटेपणाने राहणारी हि जात आहे. मार्च ते सप्टेंबर या काळात अंडी घालतात. काळे व बाकीचे भाग पांढरे आहेत. मादीमध्ये नरा पेक्षा काळा रंग कमी चमकदार असतो. किशोरवयीन पिल्ले तपकिरी-राखाडी असतात जेथे प्रौढ काळा असतो.सिंधुदुर्ग जिल्ह्यात हा पक्षी सर्रास दिसून येतो. या पक्षाची लांबी साधारणतः २१ सेमी. इतकी असते.
